After the arrival of Stephen King in France for the presentation of his new book Doctor Sleep, all booksellers emerged the famous Shining . They were right as Doctor Sleep happens to be the result of Shining . A big media buzz was made around the large format reissue Shining . But why are they hiding libraries at the same time the reissue of Shining Editions " Pocket " ? I 'll tell you , just because one is € 19.50 and the other at € 7.60 . And yes your loved booksellers rather see you spend more for reading the same book . NICE NO?
I am currently reading The Shining , I 'm not very advanced in the story but I think it is a marvel and I also bought Doctor Sleep at the same time . For those who know Shining , run buy Sleep Doctor , you should love . In this story the little Dany grew his demons and also it will help a little girl pursued by cannibals. The latter has the power to a level well above that of Dany .
Our little hero is growing up he became a carbon copy of his alcoholic father ? You will discover by reading this series already acclaimed by critics .

The ultimate biography of Vincent Van Gogh has been published in French . Output there 2 years in the United States, its publication was highly awaited by all fans of the painter. The two authors , Steven Naifeh and Gregory White Smith , received the Pulitzer Prize for this work unusual over 1200 pages , the result of 10 years of research . The book was hailed by the curator of the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam as "the definitive biography on the subject ."

The title is simple " Van Gogh " , as was the painter , since it often signed his paintings "Vincent" .

But the most interesting in this book is that it debunks many bond idea received on the Dutch painter , here are a few: Van Gogh was not crazy and especially turn of events, he would not commit suicide but was killed by two children. This last assumption is quite credible because remember, the revolver with which the painter is supposed to have committed suicide was never found.

UNDER THE DOME

Seeing the poverty of the series I can only strongly advise you to read these two books are excellent. Unlike the series the book is flat , it fails to be truly captivated until the last episodes yet . The television characters have only 1 /1000 of barbarism they have in the book ( murders , rape ... ) . The character whose bad sides are ignored and I think that is blatantly Jim "Big" Rennie who becomes responsible for the city after the onset of the dome. That of his son James Rennie "Junior" also goes out the window . Many events, necessary for the understanding of history are forgotten, voluntarily or not, and replaced by others without much interest . In fact, a woman and her baby (a boy ) and plays a major role in the book are replaced by a woman who gives birth to a daughter but the book never existed .
Briefly read the book and the series will seem an almost laughable stupidity.
Probably one of the best books of Stephen King. :)
