KAIKEN finally in pocket book

Never Jean-Christophe Grange had put so much of himself in one of his novels. Of course, the former reporter, now leader of the authors of French thrillers, in the wake of his first big success, The Crimson Rivers appeared in 1998, has often drawn inspiration from his reporting. But this time, the successful novelist tackles a particularly intimate subject for him, as it is in Japan, the country of his girlfriend ..
But beware, kaiken, whose title refers to the dagger with which women samurai committed suicide, there is nothing a trifle on the life of a Franco-Japanese couple. It is indeed a thrilling and violent thriller, as has always write Grangé. Although this time, the author has slipped into the skin of a Parisian cop Olivier Passan, whose wife, Naoko, is Japanese. With this specificity, the author gives the novel a great authenticity.

THE GOLDFINCH: THEFT OF A PAINTING

Ten years after the worldwide success of Boyfriend, and twenty years after that of the Master of Deception, Donna Tartt is back with the Goldfinch, a haunted odyssey in America today.
Who is Theo? That it happened in New York to make it today, fourteen years later, cloistered in a hotel room in Amsterdam as a hunted animal? What happened to the young boy of thirteen who visited museums with his mother and led a life of ordinary schoolboy? Where does this painting master, The Goldfinch, he carries with him?

Both novel introduction to Dickens and eminently modern thriller, searching anxieties, fears and vices of contemporary America, The Goldfinch leaves the reader breathless, dazzled and again conquered by the extraordinary talent of Donna Tartt.

JEFFREY DAHMER A SUSPECT CHILD

MY FRIEND DAHMER

In this cartoon which the author has come to promote in France last March, it is question of the most famous serial killer of the 20th century: JEFFREY DAHMER.
In this book no gory scenes, since it is only a question of the killer's childhood and his friendship with the author in college Derf Backderf. But we already feel a being mentally disturbed and we can not help but wonder why his behavior has at no time brought social services?
would be able to prevent the birth of cannibalistic Milwaukee and 17 deaths? probably not because like almost every serial killer Dahmer was insignificant and therefore be undetectable.
Which hit most in Dahmer's not the number of deaths 17 being a ridiculous figure for a serial killer, but the violence with which he will commit.
The design is very beautiful and brings out the character that was tortured Dahmer.
